Jacky Michoo
Jacky Michoo is a record collector from the french west coast city of La Rochelle. First influenced by Hip Hop in the 90’s, he started by collecting US & French Rap. Then, he became a Reggae activist, playing vinyl from jamaican R’n'B to modern Nu-Roots and borrowed his stage name from Jackie Mittoo, the funkiest of Jamaican keyboardists.
Quickly learning how to produce music for a local Hip Hop collective, he started digging samples from New York Rap classics and discovered that many Reggae tracks also had an origin in Soul music.
